June 30: I’m not even sure where to begin. My reading has been as reckless and full force as the house projects! After Twilight and Evanovich, I have been seeking out more prolific writers to fall in love with! I am enjoying Charlaine Harris and her Sookie Stackhouse series that was turned into True Blood for HBO. I am on my way to book 10 in the series, but when you are far enough ahead that you have to buy it or wait, it gets expensive:)
I’m quite surprised at my interest in this genre. I’ve never been mystery crazy or a paranormal reader either. However, I am devouring this stuff, so I’m just following the path and absorbing a different text structure and whatnot. Sounds a bit noisy for storytime downstairs which means they need me:) happy reading!!!
So right now I am recovering from the Twilight series from Stephanie Meyer…
I moved on to Janet Evanovich number series and she is pretty funny – nice little light read…I’m on the second which is currently on hold because mama sent me The Shack which I’m half finished with and I just adore so far! I’m also still working on Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way and sprinkling in her Right to Write as well – great stuff!!!
MC and I have found a new series by Betsy Byars – the not just anybody family – about the Blossoms who aren’t real fond with their brush with the law and prefer to be left to their own devices which are quite entertaining!! In the same trip to the library I found a series by Kate Klise, illustrated by M. Sarah Klise…Regarding the Trees, Regarding the Fountain, Regarding the Sink – too unique to explain effectively – check them out!
